Here since 1972.
First held in 1972 after a trip to the Dowerin Field Days convinced local Malcolm Edward that Wagin needed a premier event of its own. The name itself came from a schoolkids' naming competition.
Now WA's biggest sheep show and one of the state's largest agricultural events outside the metro area, drawing around 400 exhibitors each year for sheep, cattle, wool and poultry judging, horses in action, shearing and woolhandling, a trade fair, and a rodeo to close it out.
Run by the Wagin Agricultural Society, held annually in March at Wagin Showground.
