When it's open
The short version
Once a week the wholesalers at WA's central fresh food market open their doors to the public: fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood at wholesale prices, in trade quantities.
Undercover, and you can park inside in the blue bays. Come at six for the best of it, it's over by ten.
Entry:
$5 per vehicle (Bannister Rd gatehouse)
$2 per pedestrian ($1 concession, under-12s free)
Not all vendors take card, so bring cash. No dogs: the site is a produce distribution centre under hygiene regulations.
